77. Al-Mursalatالمرسلات

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. وَٱلْمُرْسَلَـٰتِ عُرْفًا١1

   By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

   Listen from ayah 1
2. فَٱلْعَـٰصِفَـٰتِ عَصْفًا٢2

   And the winds that blow violently

   Listen from ayah 2
3. وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا٣3

   And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

   Listen from ayah 3
4. فَٱلْفَـٰرِقَـٰتِ فَرْقًا٤4

   And those [angels] who bring criterion^[1816]

   Listen from ayah 4
5. فَٱلْمُلْقِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا٥5

   And those [angels] who deliver a message

   Listen from ayah 5
6. عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا٦6

   As justification or warning,

   Listen from ayah 6
7. إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ٧7

   Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

   Listen from ayah 7
8. فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ٨8

   So when the stars are obliterated

   Listen from ayah 8
9. وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ٩9

   And when the heaven is opened

   Listen from ayah 9
10. وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ١٠10

    And when the mountains are blown away

    Listen from ayah 10
11. وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ١١11

    And when the messengers' time has come...^[1817]

    Listen from ayah 11
12. لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ١٢12

    For what Day was it postponed?^[1818]

    Listen from ayah 12
13. لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ١٣13

    For the Day of Judgement.

    Listen from ayah 13
14. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ١٤14

    And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

    Listen from ayah 14
15. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٥15

    Woe,^[1819] that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 15
16. أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٦16

    Did We not destroy the former peoples?

    Listen from ayah 16
17. ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ١٧17

    Then We will follow them with the later ones.

    Listen from ayah 17
18. كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ١٨18

    Thus do We deal with the criminals.

    Listen from ayah 18
19. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١٩19

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 19
20. أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ٢٠20

    Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

    Listen from ayah 20
21. فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ٢١21

    And We placed it in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb]

    Listen from ayah 21
22. إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ٢٢22

    For a known extent.

    Listen from ayah 22
23. فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَـٰدِرُونَ٢٣23

    And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

    Listen from ayah 23
24. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٢٤24

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 24
25. أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا٢٥25

    Have We not made the earth a container

    Listen from ayah 25
26. أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا٢٦26

    Of the living and the dead?

    Listen from ayah 26
27. وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَـٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا٢٧27

    And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

    Listen from ayah 27
28. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٢٨28

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 28
29. ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ٢٩29

    [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.

    Listen from ayah 29
30. ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبٍ٣٠30

    Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

    Listen from ayah 30
31. لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ٣١31

    [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

    Listen from ayah 31
32. إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ٣٢32

    Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

    Listen from ayah 32
33. كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَـٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ٣٣33

    As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

    Listen from ayah 33
34. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٣٤34

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 34
35. هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ٣٥35

    This is a Day they will not speak,

    Listen from ayah 35
36. وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ٣٦36

    Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

    Listen from ayah 36
37. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٣٧37

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 37
38. هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِۖ جَمَعْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ٣٨38

    This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

    Listen from ayah 38
39. فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ٣٩39

    So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

    Listen from ayah 39
40. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٤٠40

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 40
41. إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَـٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ٤١41

    Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs

    Listen from ayah 41
42. وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ٤٢42

    And fruits from whatever they desire,

    Listen from ayah 42
43. كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ٤٣43

    [Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

    Listen from ayah 43
44. إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ٤٤44

    Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

    Listen from ayah 44
45. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٤٥45

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 45
46. كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ٤٦46

    [O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.

    Listen from ayah 46
47. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٤٧47

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 47
48. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ٤٨48

    And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.

    Listen from ayah 48
49. وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ٤٩49

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

    Listen from ayah 49
50. فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ٥٠50

    Then in what statement after it [i.e., the Qur’ān] will they believe?

    Listen from ayah 50
