104. Al-Humazaالهمزة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
- وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ1
Woe to every scorner and mocker
- ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ2
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.[1987]
- يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ3
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
- كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ4
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.[1988]
- وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ5
And what can make you know what is the Crusher?
- نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ6
It is the fire of Allāh, [eternally] fueled,
- ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ7
Which mounts directed at the hearts.[1989]
- إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ8
Indeed, it [i.e., Hellfire] will be closed down upon them
- فِى عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ9
