101. Al-Qari'aالقارعة

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. ٱلْقَارِعَةُ١1

   The Striking Calamity -

   Listen from ayah 1
2. مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ٢2

   What is the Striking Calamity?

   Listen from ayah 2
3. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ٣3

   And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

   Listen from ayah 3
4. يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ٤4

   It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,^[1975]

   Listen from ayah 4
5. وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ٥5

   And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.^[1976]

   Listen from ayah 5
6. فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٦6

   Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

   Listen from ayah 6
7. فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ٧7

   He will be in a pleasant life.

   Listen from ayah 7
8. وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ٨8

   But as for one whose scales are light,

   Listen from ayah 8
9. فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ٩9

   His refuge^[1977] will be an abyss.^[1978]

10. وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ١٠10

    And what can make you know what that is?

    Listen from ayah 10
11. نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ١١11

    It is a Fire, intensely hot.
